Markforged have announced a new filament, named Onyx FR for their Industrial series of 3D Printers.
The new filament is classified V-0 under the UL 94 standards, which means burning stops within 10 seconds on a vertical specimen; drips of particles allowed as long as they are not inflamed.
The VP of Marketing and Markforged said “Onyx FR opens up more applications for 3D printing across automotive, aerospace, and defense industries because it meets higher fire safety standards. When these parts are reinforced with strands of continuous carbon fiber, they are as strong as aircraft-grade aluminum at half the weight.”

3D Printing with Onyx FR allows companies such as aerospace, automotive, defense to create parts quickly that meet their standard for fire retardant material that are stronger than metal.
If you have an assembly of parts and need materials with V-0 properties, then look at Markforged X-Series 3D Printers.
